Leadership
Founder & Managing Director
Dr. Allison is a U.S.-trained psychiatrist with more than two decades of clinical experience across academic medical centers, inpatient services, and international practice settings. His clinical background spans general psychiatry, psychoanalytic psychotherapy, neuropsychiatry, and the treatment of complex and refractory conditions.
Before founding Anchorlight, Dr. Allison spent nearly a decade building and directing an inpatient psychiatric service in the United States, developing deep expertise in the organizational, regulatory, and clinical requirements of running psychiatric services at scale. That experience forms the basis of Anchorlight's approach: practical systems derived from real operational problems, not theoretical frameworks.
His work in Southeast Asia has focused on establishing international-standard psychiatric services in markets where the infrastructure has historically been absent — navigating the intersection of local regulatory requirements, international clinical standards, and the particular needs of globally mobile patient populations.
In addition to clinical work, Dr. Allison holds an academic appointment in the region and has delivered professional education programs on psychiatric emergencies, cross-cultural clinical practice, and behavioral health systems development for embassy, corporate, and academic audiences.
